Whether you're an experienced player or a beginner who has just discovered handball you are very welcome to join the Canterbury handball community. So what is handball? Well, if you're from pretty much anywhere they don't play cricket you'll probably know. If not, think water polo without the water or indoor football without the kicking bit. OK, that might not help much. This video might though.

Canterbury Handball is the umbrella organisation for all things handball in Canterbury, New Zealand. We are affiliated to the New Zealand Handball Federation and as the regional body for handball we want to promote and develop all aspects of the sport from primary schools to seniors and from beginners to elite players. Currently we have one club in Christchurch, the Canterbury Quakes.
